All indications are that we will see the new Nexus 7 next week, but who wants to see it a little early? Unfortunately we don’t know if it’s a near final product or an early prototype. Among the pictures, the unit has listed specs, which do appear questionable.
The obvious is that it’s made by ASUS and includes a 7-inch LCD display. It has rear and front cameras, 5MP and 1.2MP respectively. Where things get fishy is that it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro. With the latest rumor that the price of this tab will go up to $229, that doesn’t make sense. Most rumors indicate a Snapdragon 600, but who knows, maybe there will be multiple versions.
The next item is the RAM, which shows 4GB. We have yet to see a device with 4GB nor have we ever seen a rumor of one, so I’m not buying it. One interesting spec is dual speakers, but they are placed at the back. I would love to see an IR blaster, but no mention of it. Hit the break for more images and video.
