Chromecast

Google's Chromecast is back in stock with Best Buy, with purchases still bundled with three months of free Netflix streaming.

Announced alongside the new Nexus 7 in late July, the Chromecast has been quite a successful device. The device is still not available directly from Google – the Play Store has a September 3 ship date for the Chromecast – while Amazon currently lists out of stock.

Interested buyers ordering the Chromecast from BestBuy.com right now will have it shipped to their door in one business day and, more importantly, get to enjoy those three months of free Netflix.

The Netflix bundles were quickly sold out once Google started selling the device, with some reports revealing that up to 250,000 units with Netflix promos may have been sold in the first days. However, that number has not been confirmed, and from the looks of it, Best Buy still has access to Chromecasts-plus-Netflix bundles.

On a different note, the Chromecast's abilities have been greatly increased since being announced, with the developer community coming out with all sorts of interesting tricks for the device – more recently, an Android app that lets you stream local content has been released in beta version.

[Update:] And they’re gone! The available stock has already been sold out.
