Verizon's FIOS app updated, now you can stream away from home Sep 20th 2013, 18:57, by Jerry Hildenbrand Network news and weather also added to select markets Verizon has updated their FIOS app for Android, and now users are able to stream select channels while not on their local Wifi. Folks with the correct configuration — FIOS Internet and TV service, and a set-top box — can now watch live TV from BBC America, BBC World News, EPIX, NFL Network (tablet only), Tennis Channel and networks from Scripps Networks Interactive including Food Network and Travel Channel. In addition, customers in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. can watch local network news and weather at home from ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox affiliates, as well as Spanish-language channels UniMas and Univision.
