Temple Run for Android hits 10 million downloads and pulls in Twitter integration

Posted: 18 Apr 2012 01:45 PM PDT

Those that have doubted the Android Play Store's ability to garner successful downloads have been enjoying the taste of their feet this past week. While it's been truthfully reported that paid apps don't do well in the Play Store, ad supported or otherwise free apps do tremendously. Look to Temple Run as a prime example.

Already a great success in the Apple App Store, Temple Run came into the Play Store and in just a few short weeks has pulled in 10 million downloads. That's....a lot. To celebrate (or by coincidence, either is good), developer Imangi Studios has released an update that brings Twitter integration, as well as fixes for freezing, lagging, and score glitches. If you haven't given the game a shot yet, click the Play Store link below to download it and check it out. Have a running game that you like better? Let us know in the comments!

AT&T, after already announcing a launch date for the HTC One X, is back with another press release.  This one speaks to the customers on the carrier's prepaid GoPhone plans and looks to benefit them in the form of new data plans.  Set to take effect this Sunday, April 22, subscribers with prepaid GoPhones can take advantage of new options that provide at least twice as much data as before.  The plans are for the $50 Unlimited Talk and Text plan or $25 Unlimited Text/250 minutes plan.

  • 1 GB - $25
  • 200 MB - $15
  • 50 MB - $5

We're happy to see AT&T understand that some users have very minimal data usage needs and don't want to buy an "all or nothing" plan.
