Galaxy S III announced, ‘inspired by nature’

Well, it looks like the cat is out of the bag. After months of mock-ups, fakes and leaks, Samsung has announced its new flagship: The Galaxy S III. Packing a whopping 720p HD Super AMOLED screen and a home-made quad-core Exynos processor (unless you're on Verizon), this device is at least on par or even better than the competition. The only major drawback is the pixel alignment: It uses the lesser Pentile pixel layout instead of the full RGB matrix which means that two pixels share one green subpixel, resulting in less clear white and sharp edges like numbers will appear a little 'frayed'.

But it's not all about the specs: Instead of just upping the megapixel count of the camera, Samsung is aiming on a more integrated camera. Instead of just having a camera app, it's now integrated with basically the complete OS. That includes facial and gesture recognition, easy sharing options and much, much more but we'll go into more detail about that later.

One of the main selling points will probably be Samsung's take on Apple's Siri: S Voice. It mostly offers the same features but from what I've heard, it's going to be very hard to beat or even equal Siri. Samsung Galaxy SIII to go on sale May 25th in UK

Today is the day Samsung has set aside to announce their latest "super-phone" which we believe to be the Galaxy SIII. A highly anticipated release is expected to begin within minutes over at http://www.thenextgalaxy.com/

Thankfully, Android users in the United Kingdom are already "in-the-know" about when they will be able to purchase this latest Galaxy device. According to our friends at BMC "the next galaxy" will be available for purchase just a few weeks from now on May 25th. Ordering online will put the device in your hands the very next day, with overnight shipments arriving on May 26th.
