Motorola has revealed on its website that the Moto X Developer Edition is coming soon, without revealing when this version of the handset will be launched.

According to the information posted by the company, the Developer Edition model will have 32GB of storage and will come with the words "Developer Edition" engraved on the back.

The company says the phone will have "of course" an unlockable bootloader, but reminds you in footnotes that unlocking the bootloader of the phone "voids all warranties and may cause serious harm to your device."

A price for the 32GB Moto X Developer Edition is not listed, but we expect it to sell for full price, or around $630, which is what carriers will charge for the off-contract 32GB Moto X model.

Also, it's not clear at this time whether custom Developer Edition versions can be ordered – the image above shows the phone in standard white.

As we said before, the phone can be already ordered from AT&T, with MotoMaker customization support coming soon. Other U.S. carriers including Verizon, Sprint and U.S. Cellular will also have the device in stores soon.
