Google+ Changes

Good news for Google+ users today, as the service has been updated for greater ease of use. Those of you with multiple accounts or pages will find switching between them much easier in the mobile app, and users who have Apps for Business will find their interaction much easier and smoother.

For the average user, three key improvements have been made. You can now share your location to a more specific audience, and adjust which of your circles sees the location information you want them to. You can share your detailed location with family and friends, but leave a broader view for those you don't know so well. You can also filter your "Locations" map by circle, and those who have their locations shared with you are visible.

Your Drive photos are also available for Google+. From the Google+ post:

If you're storing photos or videos in Google Drive, you now have the option to view and share them from Google+ (on Android, and the web). Drive photos in particular will get enhanced and awesome'd automatically

In another "saw this one coming" moment, Google+ Messenger is going away, leaving us with Hangouts. The Google Talk refresh does all Messenger ever did, and then some. If you've got conversations you need to get from Messenger, Google notes you can get them via Google Takeout later today.

There are also a few other changes that were hinted at, like pull to refresh, but those weren't readily disclosed. This revamp brings it closer to the design focus that we see with Gmail and Maps, especially in terms of functionality.
