Oct 4th 2013, 17:17, by David Martin

Archos yesterday announced three new Android tablets in varying sizes and spec points.  The lower end Archos 80b Platinum rocks an 8-inch, 1024×768 IPS screen and 1GB of RAM while the higher-end Archos 97b Platinum HD doubles up on the resolution to 2048×1536 on a 9.7 inch screen. The Archos 101 Platinum is a 10.1-inch 1280×800 display and boasts GPS connectivity.  Both the 9.7 and 10.1 inchers include 2GB of RAM; all are all powered by a quad-core Cortex A9 CPU at 1.6GHz.

All three tablets come out the box running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and feature 8GB of internal storage, with an expandable microSD slot. Pricing is expected to be $199 for the 8-inch, $269 for the 9.7-inch, and $299 for the 10.1-inch model.
