Earlier today, HTC took the wraps of the HTC One Max, a giant-sized 5.9-inch smartphone that essentially features the same specs as the original HTC One but blown up to massive proportions. A larger phone has bigger power needs however, and thankfully HTC was kind enough to through in a hefty 3,300 mAh battery.

HTC boasts that the One Max’s high-capacity battery should be able to provide users with 25-28 hours of talk time, and stand-by time of at least 393 hours. Still, those who plan on using the new smartphone for intense gaming and multimedia might find that they would like even more battery power at their disposal. That's where the official HTC One power flip case could come in handy.

Not only does the flip case help protect the HTC One Max, it props it up and makes it easier to use for watching videos or typing. Even more significant, the device features a 1,200 mAh flexible battery – yes, the battery is actually flexible, though only to a certain extent.

Connecting the case to the HTC One Max is also very easy, thanks to three pogo pins found on the phone's back.

The 3,300 mAh battery alone sounded like more than enough to make it through a day or more without needing a charge, but with the HTC One Max power flip case it tow, battery charging worries practically become a thing of the past.

There is currently no information on pricing or a specific release date for the official case. It's very likely that the case accessory will ship around the same time as the HTC One Max, so hopefully we'll know more very soon.

What do you think of the HTC One Max and its new power case? Interested or not?
