Notion Ink Adam II tablet, dock and packaging appear in batch of leaked images
Jul 19th 2013, 05:46, by Brittany Hillen

Notion Ink‘s Adam II tablet has popped up here and there over the last several months, with the company having published a blurry shot of the device back in November, followed up by detailing its specs this past May. Following both of these is a huge leak of images of the devices, as well as its packaging, dock, leather cover, and power adapter.

The images were posted by a user over on Behance on July 9. Not too long after, the page was pulled, but we’ve got all the images available for you in the gallery below. Among them you’ll see a few diagrams of the packaging and power adapter, as well as a handful of images that include information ribbons.

One of the images show the Adam II’s cover, which is smooth dual tone leather on the outside and plastic on the inside. There’s a magnetic locking strap, and three color options: Cerulean Blue & Smokey Grey, Coal Black & Burnt Umber, and Coal Black & Smokey Grey. Then there’s the stylus, which is angular and has a smooth rubber grip for easier handling.

Then there’s the dock, which can be folded up into a small rectangle. When unfolded, the dock forms a T, and can be seen in action in a related shot with the tablet fixed in place. Word had it initially that the Adam II would be priced at $220 USD, but later reports surfaced indicating that this was wrong – the actual price is still unknown.

We do know what to expect as far as specifications go, with Notion Ink saying the display is an IPS offering measuring in at 10.1-inches with a 1280 x 800 resolution. The connectivity includes Bluetooth and wifi, and the software will be Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. As far as internals go, the slate runs on a 1.5GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, and has 1GB of RAM. Battery life is said to be 10 hours via the 6000 mAh battery.
