HTC One owners looking to run both stock Android and the default Sense ROM on their devices can sign up for the beta program of MoDaCo.SWITCH.

Developed by Paul O'Brien, MoDaCo.SWITCH is a useful tool that lets you boot two Android instances on your HTC One including the default ROM that comes pre-loaded on the handset and the stock Android version based on the Google Play edition version of the HTC One.

O'Brien on Thursday announced that he will be "picking a number of people of varying abilities and devices," to try out the tool, providing a simple sign-up form to those interested in the project (see Source links below). As you can see, the beta is limited, as not everybody will be selected to try the tool.

What's interesting about MoDaCo.SWITCH is that it uses the same data directory no matter what Android OS version you’re on, which means that you can easily switch between Android versions without worrying about personal data, settings, app installs, and so on.

Data between the two ROMs is therefore synchronize, and it's up to you to choose what Android version you need, whether it's the basic, clutter-free stock one or the default build – after all, many people may enjoy more than one Sense features on their HTC One handsets.

In order to make the switch, you just press a button, and wait for your handset to reboot using the selected operating system. The video above shows you how easily it's all done.
