Verizon Moto X finally lands in web store
Aug 29th 2013, 06:06, by Juan Carlos Torres

For you Verizon customers who have been counting the days, the wait is finally over. Motorola’s latest masterpiece, the Moto X, is now available for purchase on Verizon’s online shop.

After Motorola‘s launch early this month, the Moto X has become quite a sensation. It may not be up to par with the latest or soon to be announced smartphones in terms of raw hardware, but the device definitely makes up for it in overall performance and features. Despite running on a slightly lower processor, Motorola’s X8 computing system masks that fact. Plus, the two low-power context computing chips give it an added edge with Touchless Controls and Active Display notifications. Motorola also threw in a rather nice marketing gimmick, allowing buyers to completely personalize their units.

With everything that’s going for it, people have been eagerly awaiting when the smartphone would be available from their favorite carriers. Of course, preference has been given to AT&T who just released the phone last week, with other major US carries said to be following in days. That day is here and Verizon customers can now avail of the device, both with or without contracts. If you still haven’t decided whether to get one or not, maybe our review of the Moto X can help you make that decision. As was reported, the Moto Maker customization tool is still not available for other carriers and is expected to still come at the end of the year.

So far only a 16 GB configuration is available, with a choice of either black or white colors. The Moto X sells for $199.99 with a two-year contract or $599.99 for the full price. We also received a tip regarding a “VERIZON30″ coupon code that will give a 30% discount on the purchase, so you might want to try it out if it works for you as well.
