Firefox for Android gets new look and features
Aug 28th 2013, 19:15, by David Martin

Just a quick reminder for those of you who might have missed it last week – the latest and greatest from Mozilla’s Firefox for Android recently underwent some huge UI (User Interface) improvements, which I must say is pretty sweet.  The “Official” Firefox app has not been updated as of yet but if you’re still interested in this new look just head on over to FireFox Nightlies and download the APK.

We have completely redesigned and rewritten the Awesomescreen—where you search bookmarks and browsing history when you tap on the URL toolbar—and the Start Page—the one you see when you start the app. In terms of interaction, we're essentially merging the Awesomescreen and the Start Page into a single UI with swipable pages.

Make sure you go to Settings, Security, and check the box “Install from Unknown Sources” in order to try it.
