Google Japan launches Android vending machines in Tokyo
Sep 30th 2013, 13:58, by Scott Webster

Google Japan has rolled out three Google Play vending machines in Tokyo, each designed to help sell 18 different games. Those who have smartphones running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with NFC connectivity can install one of the free or paid titles. Don’t have one of those? Feel free to (temporarily) use one of the Nexus 4 models at the machine so you can get a sense for how things work. Reportedly, Google employees will be on hand to help interested passersby when these are up and fully operational.

We’re curious as to how Google determines which apps and games to highlights and how often they are changed up. And, really, why stop at 18 titles?
