The hype surrounding the Oppo N1 continues to grow, with the device expected to offer some amazing features, including a great camera, plug-in camera lenses, and an unique rear touch panel. While we’ve heard a lot about these features, there was no information on the hardware of the device, until today.

Courtesy of a “leaked” image of the motherboard of the smartphone by an Oppo executive on Sina Weibo, we now know that the Oppo N1 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, laying to rest any doubts that the device might not be a high-end one. The image shows the Qualcomm MSM8274 chip, which is the non-LTE version of the Snapdragon 800. The image also confirms that the Oppo N1 will feature expandable storage via microSD, which is a must have for a lot of users.

The highly-anticipated smartphone will be announced on September 23, with the company posting teaser videos on its website every three or four days, until the launch. You can check out the first teaser trailer below, which unfortunately, tells us absolutely nothing about the Oppo N1. Hopefully, the next trailer, available in 2 days, will give us something more.

Oppo also took to Twitter to tease a poster that stated “Color and N1 to be revealed on September 23,” which means that the Oppo N1 could feature the company’s all new Color ROM pre-loaded.

As great as the Find 5 was, the Oppo N1 is well on its way to becoming the breakout smartphone for the company, and I can’t wait to get my hands on this device.
