U.S. version of Moto G to launch with Android 4.4 – report
Nov 15th 2013, 14:58, by Scott Webster

As we learned the other day at its introduction, the U.S. version of the Moto G is not expected to arrive until early 2014. Fortunately for those who like to be on the cutting edge of smartphones, our localized model will launch with the newest version of Android, the 4.4 KitKat release.

According to the folks over at Omio, Motorola plans to break the Moto G release into waves. The first wave, which is already underway, sees the Moto G selling with 4.3 Jelly Bean. Come 2014, however, the second wave will be arriving with 4.4 KitKat pre-loaded.

As to which markets will be lumped into waves, Omio indicates the first will include UK, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, and France. Those shipping after Christmas include the United States, South East Asia, and other markets. It’s also at this point that the first wave will receive software updates to 4.4 KitKat.
