Welcome to another installment of Android Authority Q & A. Each week we take questions from you, our wonderful readers and viewers, and answer them both here and in video form.

Q:

Android User says: Will Android 4.3 come for the Galaxy S3?

A:

All we have right now is a pretty strong rumor. A Korean source reported that not only is Samsung already working on updates to Android 4.3 for its current flagships, it is also going to skip Android 4.2.2 altogether on last year's flagships. So, the Galaxy S3 and the Note 2 should be getting the new version of Android. It makes sense, given that the Galaxy S3 is still among one of the most used phones available.

Q:

Androidoverall says: Will we see a Nexus 5 and when?

A:

This is definitely one of the most anticipated devices and for good reason – but while we all think it inevitable that the Nexus 4 will be updated, we have no concrete information. Since last year's Nexus 4 was based on the LG Optimus G, rumors and speculation have been pointed to LG's next G phone as what the Nexus 5 will be based on. We've seen other rumors stating that LG has already come forth with a prototype and has shown it to Google. With LG officially announcing their next flagship phone today, the G2, we could be seeing more news on the Nexus 5 very soon.

Q:

Mayoo says: When will the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 be released and what are its features? Will it have a bigger screen?

A:

With IFA happening in September, the full release should be sometime after and definitely in time for the holiday season. A few leaked sketches from the manual suggest that the Note 3 will sport a 5.7 inch screen, which is a slight increase from the 5.5 of the Note 2. With a Snapdragon 800 processor, it will get a big boost in performance and the supposed 13 megapixel camera may be a big focus because the sketches suggest the existence of a dedicated camera button. Don't worry – once the announcement is made at IFA, rest assured that Android Authority will be right there covering it all.

Q:

Frederik says: Is the Moto X in the international market?

A:

Currently, Moto is definitely focusing on the US market but releases elsewhere are in the works. We already know that it's coming to Rogers in Canada due to that leaked video but apparently teaser websites for Motorola's new flagship have popped up in Brazil and Argentina. We've been on the lookout for other teaser sites for additional countries but they haven't shown up just yet.

Q:

Salman Khan says: I saw somewhere that you can wirelessly connect a PS3 controller on a Sony Xperia. I am interested in buying the Z Ultra and I need that feature. If it is possible how can you do it?

A:

The app you need to check out is called Sixaxis Controller. It's a paid app that allows for your PS3 controller to connect like a general gamepad. For control using an OTG USB cable, you don't have to root your device. However, for wireless Bluetooth gaming, rooting is a must. I've had plenty of success in the past with the OTG USB cable but if you really need to root your device and don't know where to start, the XDA Developers forum is the best place to start. After that, grab the Sixaxis app for a couple dollars and it'll guide you through the rest. Happy gaming, Salman.

Q:

Stephanie Coolard says: I was planning on buying a Sony Xperia Z and I will be buying the C6603 version. And I was hoping that you could tell me which carriers will be able to support the LTE bands.

AT&T 4G LTE

A:

The C6603 version supports LTE band frequencies 800 / 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600. In band listings for US carriers, the band you're looking for is Band 4, capable of 1700/2100 frequencies. Currently, the only carriers that fully support these that are AT&T and T-Mobile. These two carriers have prepaid plans that were recently opened up to LTE connectivity, so you can definitely go that route. Verizon has plans to open up to Band 4 but even then it and Sprint often only work with phones specifically created and branded to their names.
