While rumors that the LG G2 would be the first device to feature 3GB of RAM didn’t pan out, the new flagship from the second largest Korean smartphone manufacturer is nevertheless a beast. We can’t wait to put it through its paces, but at least on paper, the G2 looks like a winner.

The fingerprint sensor was another feature that was rumored for the G2 and failed to materialize. The button on the back acts as a power button and camera shutter button, combined with a notification LED.

LG controversially moved the volume rocker on the rear, beneath the camera module, which is supposedly a more ergonomic placement. Our Kris Wouk will give this novel setup a try and let it know how it feels.

The LG G2 looks like a feature rich device, having all the bells and whistles you would aspect from a modern high-end smartphone, including support for LTE-A connectivity.

We’ll be bringing you more details as we have them.
