Chinese hardware maker Oppo pulled the curtain back on its latest flagship smartphone, the Oppo N1. Powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, the handset boasts a 5.9-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, and a 13-megapixel camera. Not just any camera, mind you, but one that rotates 206-degrees and has a flash and soft light. Perfect for both standard photos and high-res selfies, it’s one of the standout components of the Oppo N1.

The rear of the phone comes with an “O-Touch” panel which can be used with finger gestures for various actions. Additional details in the Oppo N1 include 16GB/32GB storage, an Adreno 320 GPU, 3610 mAh battery, and quadband GSM and pentaband HSPA+ support (no LTE yet).

In terms of OS, the phone allows for the option to easily flash CyanogenMod. While not quite the “out-of-the-box CyanogenMod smartphone” we were hoping for, Oppo is at least making it simple to go with something else besides the custom ColorOS.

The Oppo N1 also works with an “O Click,” portable accessory that can be used to take pictures remotely using the phone’s camera. Able to attach to your key ring, it pulls double duty for sounding an alarm.

Pricing and exact availability (“early December”) are not immediately clear however expect to see the Oppo N1 offered through Amazon and other online retailers.
