Rumor: HTC M8 heading to AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon by end of Q1 2014
Nov 11th 2013, 15:10, by Nick Gray

After getting a look at what the HTC M8 (the HTC One’s 2014 successor) may look like, @evleaks has shared that the HTC’s new flagship Android phone will launch on all four major US service providers by the end of Q1 2014.

The M8′s predecessor, the HTC One, did technically start showing up at retail stores in Europe during the last few days of March of this year, but the company’s original plan was a March 22 launch on T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T here in the US market. Those plans fell through when camera component shortages forced HTC to push back the US launch date.

If HTC can pull off a late Q1 launch of the HTC M8, it should give the company a slight advantage over Samsung; the Galaxy S 5 is not expected until sometime in Q2. It’s certainly too early to tell if HTC’s or Samsung’s 2014 flagship will come out on top, but we’re hoping HTC is able to capitalize on an earlier release to help stabilize the company’s dire financial situation.

We definitely think HTC can do it, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Verizon somehow managed to launch the phone a few weeks after its competitors.

HTC M8 unsurprisingly destined for AT&T, among others.

Building the perfect Nexus phone
Nov 11th 2013, 14:56, by Nick Gray

For the Android faithful, the latest Nexus device is considered to be the gold standard for devices. The Nexus features the latest and greatest specs and an Android build straight from Google with none of the standard software bloat that typically accompanies OEM branded phones and tablets. But the appeal of a Nexus phone many times outshines what Google and its partner OEMs are able to deliver.

The recently released Nexus 5 is an impressive piece of hardware when you look at each individual component, but the device itself is understated, featuring a washed out display and a mediocre camera. The good news is that we’re not here to focus on the Nexus 5′s flaws – we want to know what the perfect Nexus phone would look like if its processor, storage, display, design, manufacturer, camera and price were all selected by the Android and Me community.

Check back over the next few weeks for new polls focusing on one specific feature of the perfect Nexus phone. Once we have all the data, we’ll pull it all together to give you a look at what an Android and Me spec’d Nexus phone would offer.

To kick things off, we simply want to know how you would score this year’s Nexus 5. So, get to clickin’.
