Oppo: N1 CyanogenMod Edition to begin shipping internationally in December
Nov 8th 2013, 14:46, by Alex Wagner

After teasing a limited edition version of its flagship N1 with CyanogenMod preinstalled, Oppo today revealed when consumers will be able to start hammering their computer’s F5 key to try and snag one of the unique handsets. The company says that the N1 CyanogenMod Edition will begin shipping in early December for the same price as the standard N1. When it does, the CyanogenMod-ified handset will come with several extra goodies, including CyanogenMod stickers and a special N1 case with both CyanogenMod mascot Cid and Oppo mascot Ollie on it.

CyanogenMod founder Steve Kondik revealed back in September that he and his fellow developers had raised $7 million in funding as part of an effort to launch Cyanogen Inc., a company with the goal of continuing to make CyanogenMod better, safer and easier to install. Cyanogen Inc.’s future plans are still a bit up in the air right now, but teaming up with Oppo on this limited edition N1 is certainly a nice way to get your company’s ball rolling. There’s no word on precisely how limited the N1 CyanogenMod edition will be, so if you’d like to be one of the lucky folks that owns one and show your support for CyanogenMod at the same time, it might be a good idea to start gathering your pennies now.
