Huawei faces shortages for the 4.7 inch LCD Panel used in the Ascend P6 Aug 23rd 2013, 16:16, by Aditya Thawardas The Huawei Ascend P6 is one of the world’s thinnest smartphones, but being so thin could cost them. Huawei believes that they could sell 10 million units of the device, but they have run into a problem. The 4.7-inch HD in-cell LCD panels used to make the phone’s screen are running out, as there is currently more demand than supply for the P6. The phone is currently priced at CNY $2688 ($440 USD), but if demand stays the same and supply goes down, that price is going to have to go higher.
