Onavo Count 2.0 debuts with new UI, comparative data, and more
Jul 30th 2013, 15:00, by Scott Webster

Need to get a better handle on which of your apps are helping to blow through your allotted monthly data plan? Sure, you could use the stuff that’s built into the stock Android experience but that’s not quite as sharp or fun as what Onavo does. In fact, now’s a great time to get on board with Onavo Count; a 2.0 release was just pushed out a few minutes ago.

Features in Onavo Count include the ability to see where your data usage habits affect your plan on a per-app basis or in more broad terms such as categories (music, maps, etc). What’s more, the 2.0 version also helps users get a sense as to how they stack up against others with the same app.

Onavo 2.0 features:

  • Brand new design that will help you understand your data usage habits lie in real-life terms by translating your app mobile data usage into easily understandable categories, such as music, maps and video.
  • For the first time ever, you'll be able to see your mobile data usage in comparison with other app users. For example how your Facebook mobile data usage ranks; are you in the top 10% of Facebook users? Bottom 20%? Smack in the middle? The New Onavo Count will let you know.
  • App guide will show you the Android apps that are most used and which apps are trending this month
