Update - 244

Posted: 18 Mar 2012 04:22 PM PDT
When my sweetie told me about Draw Something I told her I'd check it out. After a few days of harassing me to get it I finally downloaded it and I haven't looked back. Only having it for about a day I've been playing it nonstop and it’s pretty safe to say I’m addicted. Here's why:
The game is quite simple in nature. You have a choice between three words that are of easy, medium and hard varieties. Each word gets a coin value. One for easy, two for medium and three coins for hard. You are then set with a simple palette of colors to draw out the word. Once you do, the other person then gets to watch you draw out the word, mess ups and all, as they are given a set of letters that for guessing the word. If they guess correctly you both get coins. The coins are then used to help you buy various features and add-ons. You can buy more colors to draw with or helpful bombs. The bombs allow you to choose new words to draw or remove erroneous letters not needed for guessing.
You can create a user name that allows others to find you easily and you can also connect to Facebook. Facebook connections will show you who of your friends are playing and will allow you to create games with them. Once you start just choose a word, draw, guess and repeat. It's as easy as that. What's nice is that you can play across platforms so if you have friends with an iDevice you can play with them too.
There are two versions of the game, a free and paid version. The free version gives you over 900 words to use and the paid version gives you over 2000. You get 400 coins to jump start your palette selection or the amount of bombs you have at your disposal. Both will give you 5 free bombs to start out with. The free version has ads but they aren’t in obnoxious areas.
What's addicting about the game is that it can be quite humorous in a not-on-purpose manner. Watching your friends struggle with trying to draw a word can be quite funny. Plus watching their interpretations of the word you're supposed to guess can be pretty funny too. With the amount of words they have you'll be sure to have plenty of laughs.
I only have a few small gripes with the game and honestly they aren't deal breakers but rather more like minor annoyances. This game would be perfect for those who have a Galaxy Note as the stylus would probably make drawing a lot easier, but be that as it may, using your finger can be annoying when you're trying to be accurate. While that's not the point of the game sometimes I feel that I must be Vincent Van Gogh in my drawings.
The only other gripe that I have is a lack of notifications. That is, on the Android side of things. My sweetie gets push notifications on her iPhone no problem. I however, find that I have to go to the app to see if someone has drawn a picture or not. I assume though that this will be fixed in a later update and like I said, it's only a minor annoyance.
To conclude, Draw Something is probably one of the simplest games you'll ever be addicted to. You can try the free version if you're skeptical but I honestly think you'll jump to the paid version after just a short time so just save yourself some time and drop the $0.99 that this app currently costs. It's on sale now so I recommend doing it soon before the price goes up.
Trust me, you won't be sorry. Even with the minor annoyances this game is solid and those minor annoyances are my own personal gripes. So what are you waiting for? Scroll on down a little bit further to get your Google Play Store link and QR code. I'm sure user jackh1216 is always in the mood for a game. Enjoy!

We have some good news for UK Android fans itching to get their hands on HTC‘s, 4.7″ quad-core monster. UK high street retailer, phones4u has updated its website with the option to pre-order both the One X and One S from today.
2011 was a turbulent year for HTC and its own executive team would be the first to admit it. As the manufacturer of the first ever Android phone, the first ever Nexus device and ultra successful devices such as the Hero and Desire range, it must have been a bitter pill to swallow seeing Samsung take its place as the king of the Android hill. The Korean giant has produced two Nexus devices in a row and has seen its Galaxy line of devices sell like hotcakes across the world. 2012 may well be the year that HTC strikes back and the new ‘One’ range is certainly equipped to bring the fight.
If you’re ready to get a pre-order in then click the links below and be sure to tell us your thoughts on the HTC’s new range in the comments.

I’ve always been a fan of WiFi tethering as I am sure most of you folks that have used it are too. However the one issue that we’ve had with WiFi tethering is that those of us who wanted this capability needed to either drop extra money a month for a tethering plan or we would have to root our devices to bypass that. Well that’s a thing of the past as the FoxFi brings wireless tethering capabilities to devices everywhere with no root required. That’s right folks those non-rooted folks who had to be tethered via USB cable can now enjoy the freedom of wireless tethering.
This can be done either through WiFi or Bluetooth. However while Bluetooth mode works on all devices WiFi mode only works on most Motorola and Samsung devices. I say most as the original Droid, Triumph, Samsung Admire as well as any HTC phone will have to tether through Bluetooth.
Hit the break below to find the Google Play Store Link or QR Code. As of right now the Atrix 2/4G isn’t supported and there is a bug with the Triumph that causes the app to crash but they are working on an update for that. HTC has a lock on WiFi hotspots so all you’ll get is Bluetooth mode. However that shouldn’t affect you folks too greatly. I recommend getting this app now before your respective carriers take it out of the store! Enjoy!

Verizon has sent out a notification to LG Revolution owners highlighting an important update called VS910ZV8 has arrived. In addition to resolving minor bugs with the device, the update introduces a new virtual tool called Verizon Remote Diagnostics which aims to make maintenance of the phone a breeze. Verizon  specifically describes the Remote Diagnostics tool as a:

“New customer care solution to improve device issue diagnosis during customer support calls. When a customer calls into Verizon Wireless Customer Care, this solution, with the customer's permission, allows support personnel to remotely view the user's device for troubleshooting and application demonstrations.
The Remote Diagnostics tool is a very interesting concept. It essentially means that the RD tool will allow Verizon customer service to see a user’s device and literally gain remote control of it— naturally with your permission of course. Verizon, unlike Carrier IQ took the time to notify its customers of this potentially controversial application. So this in essence, should not a repeat of the whole Carrier IQ shenanigans we remember from late last year. If you own a Revolution smartphone, are you reluctant or OK with this diagnostic tool?
Hit the break to see the full details of the update along with the Verizon link for full details.

It’s time to throw yet another Galaxy S III leak/rumor on the ever growing pile of back-fence talk. This most recent image was supposedly leaked by a “respectable” (aka untrustworthy) Samsung employee who decided to share it with one of his good buddies. That good buddy then decided to share it with his good buddies on the world of Reddit which brings us to where we are now, buddies! According to the person who obtained this image there is even a little
BS
back story to go along with it:
I am using a throwaway and I'm not going to disclose ANY information about his job because it could jeopardize it. He sent me this picture (I know, he shouldn't have used the flash but i guess we will take what we can get). Ok he gave me some specs as well. He said that it will possibly have two optional launchers, ICS with touchwiz overlay and vanilla ICS. They aren't 100 percent sure if they will stick with touchwiz or have the dual launcher option. If they go dual, you will have the option of picking which one to use at startup, and you can change any time. He said it has a 4.7 inch screen that nearly takes up the whole phone, but some bezel space was needed for the camera, , speakers, mic, and so cases would fit on it. He said it WILL be HD and have a ceramic "micro arc oxidation" back.
He said the processor is a quad core exynos (spelling?) 4412. The screen is Super Amoled Plus with HD. The camera is a 12 megapixel with flash. 2 gigs of ram. And it is exactly 8 millimeters thick, and no bump this time around, just "smooth". 2250 milla-amp/hour battery, but no wireless charging.
So what do you think? Real, fake? One thing that’s interesting is that it looks awfully similar to the ‘press render’ that was leaked by Edgar Murtazin, and its black version seen last week. At this point I really don’t know what to think but I was kinda starting to like the looks of yesterday’s ‘leaked’ GSIII over this one. This phone surely will not sit well with Apple and their desire to sue over the likeness to iProducts. I think Sammy would have learned their lesson by now. Thoughts?

We told you the Sprint Galaxy Nexus was one step closer after it passed through the FCC a couple of days ago. The latest rumor, which s4gru.com says comes from an inside source at Sprint, is that the carrier has decided to release the device on April 15th. That’s a Sunday, which would normally seem like an unlikely day for a phone’s release, but Sprint has been known to do Sunday releases in the past. Also, Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus contest ends on April 14th, along with a few promotions for older WiMax devices, giving some more credence to the rumor.
Other interesting details the source provided centers around the phone’s LTE capabilities. First, the phone will come set to 3G connectivity by default. This makes sense since Sprint’s LTE network will not be anywhere near fully rolled out. A toggle function will be available to switch between 3G and 4G. This can be seen as an advantage since the LTE radio can use more battery power than 3G. Verizon Galaxy Nexus users have been asking for an LTE toggle, so it would be nice to have it built-in by default.

Second, the Sprint Galaxy Nexus will support eHRPD, the protocol used to allow for seamless handoffs between 3G EVDO and 4G LTE. This will be greatly useful while users go in and out of 4G areas during Sprint’s LTE build-out.
I hope these rumors are true. The sooner Sprint releases the Galaxy Nexus, the more likely it will be a successful device for them. If they delay too long, other phones, like the HTC One X, may steal the thunder. Though I am tempted by HTC’s latest, I have to admit the allure of a Google Experience phone may be just too much to ignore.
