With all the rumors about the next flagship member of Samsung's popular Galaxy line, the lines between reality and fantasy, at times, become blurred as our desire for something bigger, faster, and more powerful outweighs any thought of overall practicality. But according to Eldar Murtazin, the design is finalized, and EVERY carrier wants as many as they can get their hands on. His tweet, shown below, is evidence to that.
Other news of the SIII from Murtazin puts the device in a league all its own, being the first phone to sport a quad-core processor, at only 7 mm thin, with a 4.8-inch HD display. But above all else, the two most exciting aspects of this machine are as follows:
First, the Galaxy line will be stepping up from the cheapy plastic ways of the past, as Sammy will build the third with a ceramic chassis. Second, Eldar has confirmed that we can expect the release by this June. Of course, Eldar is only one man, and we've heard no word from Samsung on if any of this is credible, so we'll just have to sit here and twiddle our thumbs until we hear some concrete information.
That notwithstanding, is anyone else as excited as I am? Drop a comment below!

Google's Hangouts feature on Google+ has been much lauded, bringing the first video conference integration with social networking (Facebook jumped on the bandwagon soon after, of course). The service has been used by celebrities to talk to fans, business users to collaborate, and friends to, well, be friendly. Google hasn't skimped on the service since its release either, offering several updates to enhance it, the latest of which adds a good tool for business users.
Google Docs can now be shared and collaborated upon in Hangouts, giving a great option for those that have issues meeting face to face. With a feature already added for sharing your desktop during conferences, Google is doing an excellent job of making Hangouts actually useful. And Facebook's video service? Well... I can see my sister's new gerbil. I'd say that speaks for itself.

The guys over at S4Gru.com say they have Sprint sources that confirm the release of the Sprint Galaxy Nexus to be on April 15th, which is a Sunday. Sources are reporting that it's unlikely the device would actually be released on a Sunday, but it's more likely that we'll see a Friday (the 13th) or Saturday launch. It's also worth noting that rumors are pointing to the Galaxy Nexus launching on Sprint with LTE initially turned off. The devices will have LTE radios, but they'll boot into 3G when they're activated. Users will then be able to switch from LTE to 3G, and of course to WiFi. Many are saying that this is because Sprint's LTE network is still in its infancy, and might not be strong enough to handle mass amounts of Galaxy Nexii connecting to it at once.

There's also been talk of something called LTE Discovery Mode, where the Galaxy Nexus would connect to a 3G Sprint tower, but would search for LTE connections based on location. Since Sprint will likely have only 200 or so LTE sites by the time the device launches, this will help users save battery life. If the Galaxy Nexus is constantly searching for an LTE connection that might not exist in a particular area, that battery is going to bite the dust fairly quickly. No word on whether the devices will be WiMax capable, but we wouldn't put any money on it.
There's been no confirmation from Sprint, but all the signs are there for this launch. We'll keep our eyes on it, that's for sure. Now if we could just get ICS on an older Nexus device...
So, any Sprint users excited for an LTE Galaxy Nexus? Who else thinks a Friday the 13th launch would be a bad omen? Let us know in the comments!

ZTE and MetroPCS are poised to launch the ZTE Score M. The device will be the regional carrier's first ZTE Android device, and will come with some low-end specs that include Gingerbread, a 3.2MP rear camera, 3.5-inch HVGA TFT screen, 600 MHz processor, 4GB of internal memory, MicroSD expansion up to 32GB, Bluetooth 2.1, and WiFi b/g. Lixin Cheng, the CEO of ZTE USA, had this to say about the release:
There is an increasing number of consumers that see how the functionality of a smartphone will enhance their lives, but still may not be prepared to commit fully to a costly device. Working with MetroPCS to offer these customers the ZTE Score M will allow them to have the smartphone experience at an incredible value."
So the Score M isn't going to blow anyone away, but at $49 after a mail-in rebate, it's easy to see that they're not aiming for the wealthier MetroPCS customers. So, is anyone on MetroPCS thinking about grabbing this budget-friendly Android device? Drop a comment below!
