HTC One

HTC might not have lived up to its original pledge to bring Android 4.3 to North America by the end of September, but that's not for want of trying. In the last week we’ve seen the 4.3 update push out to unlocked HTC owners, HTC Developer Edition users in the U.S., and even HTC One owners in Canada. Clearly their promised 4.3 update is important to HTC, but dealing with U.S. carrier certification is a process that the manufacturer has little direct control over.

The good news is that the wait for Android 4.3 is finally over, at least for Sprint customers! HTC's USA President Jason Mackenzie confirmed today that Android 4.3 is rolling out now to Sprint users, and Sprint has also released some basic details for the 3.04.651.2 update.

According to the Now Network, the new update not only brings Android 4.3, but it also fixes an issue with Swype, updates several Sprint applications and promises HTC Sense stability improvements. Additionally, we can expect Android 4.3 features including Bluetooth LE support, OpenGL ES 3.0 and the enhanced Daydream feature.

Based on what we’ve seen with other HTC One 4.3 updates, you will also likely find some HTC specific features that relate to the camera, content in BlinkFeed and a few other minor tweaks.

For more details about the update, you'll want to hit up Sprint's community page. You can also try manually grabbing the update, but don't be surprised if it takes a while (or even a few days) before it rolls out to everyone.

Unfortunately, no word on when the other carriers will see the Android 4.3, though hopefully the wait is short. So how about it- anyone lucky enough to grab this update yet? If so, what do you think so far?
